First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yeah, I am a little late, but I have an excuse! You see, I am writing this post while I am deployed in the Middle East! I have been here since August and it looks like my return to the Spokane area will be early spring! While I have been away, I have been doing my main job of working for our great country and in my spare time, reading books not just for enjoyment, but self help to find out how to break the mold that was “me.”
You see, in 2020, like the majority of our area, was full of hardship. I wont get into the details, but while on this deployment I have been wanting to do a personal change so in order to do that, I had to do a lot of soul searching. I have picked up books on meditation, daily Christian devotionals, and other self-help books. To better serve you, my clients, I have to first serve myself! Something that I have been neglecting for some time now!
2021 is now here, and my time to come home is just a few short months away! I look forward to seeing all your bright smiling faces and hear the stories that I have missed while I have been away. I look forward to meeting new friends and building those friendships to make them feel like family. I am also looking forward to seeing my German Shepherd, Ruger, and my jerk of a cat, Lundy. He really isn’t a jerk, he just hates being bothered when he sleeps and I love picking him up and trying to cuddle with him. These two fur babies are my life right now and they eagerly await my return.
Finally, I am wanting to wish you all a happy New Year again. I can’t wait to get home and create some magical portraits for you and your family!
